| BRAD LITWIN December 9th, 8:00 PM |
| Bradley N. Litwin is a Stride Blues and Ragtime Jazz Guitarist who Can Sing! Taking on the rompin' stompin' finger-picking styles of Blind Blake and Robert Johnson, adaptations of Fats Waller and Willie "The Lion" Smith, the smooth crooning of the Mills Brothers and Nat King Cole, and the exhilaration of Bessie Smith, Litwin marries peak guitar performance with a vocal style that engages from the first phrase, and dazzles as it shifts from dark to light, funny to tender, and smooth to rollicking.
His aim is the broadcast and preservation of the extraordinary invention, passion and humor embodied in early Roots, Blues and Jazz. Though some of the most infectious music, it is seldom heard in mass media. For Brad, threading this rich heritage back into the fabric of mainstream consciousness is an ongoing labor of love. In the intimate setting of The Last Chance Cafe, he gonna 'knock you sox off'! |
