| The Last Chance Cafe is hosted by Sheila and Jim Brann Concerts are usually once a month from September through May. Our basement area which holds 45 to 50 people comfortably. PLEASE: RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED! Click the link or call us! BYO refreshments and, if possible, enough to share! There is usually a jam session afterwards, so instruments are welcome. Concerts start at 8:00 PM Parking is on the street, but there is a small parking lot about 1 block away with easy access to our property. All monies collected, as well as any CD sales go to the performer(s). Additional contributions over the listed admission are a great way of saying, "Thank You" to our performers! | We've lost out minds completely... This week we present PSYCH-A-BILLY, the breathtaking-in-its-primitive-splendor, Hillbilly Band. If you've never encountered them, you simply will not believe your eyes and ears. (You may rely on the veracity of your finger- tips, though...) Mysterious Keith, Mushrat, Uncle Possum and Idjiit the Washboard Boy will perform a colletion of tunes calculated to soothe the soul, roil the gorge, attack the sensibilites and otherwise provide an evening concert that you'll be GLAD you attended! Possibly the most creative and enjoyable musical group in Philly today, and they cut a mean salami, too! Rain or shine, snow or thaw, for a damn good time, come one, come all... (Will SOMEONE please pry the Mushrat OFF the roof?) |
