| The Last Chance Cafe is hosted by Sheila and Jim Brann Concerts are usually once a month from September through May. Our basement area which holds 45 to 50 people comfortably. PLEASE: RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED! Click the link or call us! BYO refreshments and, if possible, enough to share! There is usually a jam session afterwards, so instruments are welcome. Concerts start at 8:00 PM Parking is on the street, but there is a small parking lot about 1 block away with easy access to our property. All monies collected, as well as any CD sales go to the performer(s). Additional contributions over the listed admission are a great way of saying, "Thank You" to our performers! | Aodh Óg Ó Tuama
: vocals, tin whistles, doumbek (we'll forgive him), spoons, gemshorn, many others Born in Cork, Ireland, Aodh Óg (pronounced, ayog) studied Medieval and Renaissance music in college. He received a music fellowship to study at Stanford University in 1984. Played in a group called Drivelling Druids before forming the group Four Shillings Short. ...................................................... Christy Martin : vocals, hammered dulcimer, mandolin, mandola and bouzouki, banjo, North Indian Sitar, guitar and bodhran A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Christy was born into a musical family. She played the sitar for 10 years, starting at the age of 16. Took up folk music in the '80's. Has been playings hammered dulcimer since 1993. She was formerly in a band called Your Mother Should Know |
